UCC AGM 2014-03-11 Meeting Opened at 13:08 President's Report ------------------ - Has written a very long page... parts of it may or may not be minuted - Thanks for coming to the AGM where I am finally ousted from power - Will be using UWA Guild standing orders, if cas want to use Roberts Rules go buy it - 2014 was a pretty great year - Many upgrades in machine room and clubroom - Donations from Apache allowed us to construct Mango and other servers - Gave switches away - Motsugo has new SSDs - Mussel has problems - Murasoi is getting hot - Webcams half work but we make do - GNOME3 sucks, KDE sucks more - Thanks [SZM] for managing tech talks, want to have more this year - It is a very important part of what UCC does - Thanks [SLX] and [*OX] for tech video night, run more - So much social, even though people don't like being social - LANs were great, thanks [TJB], [MRD] - Recommend next committee focus on camp and host regular normal LANs in the loft - Until the master plan is complete we probably won't have any decent sized spaces for events - Next camp is booked.
