Fresher Rep's Report

- Freshers are happy
- Has met some of the Freshers
- Cannot name any of the Freshers
- Fresher Welcome went well

Machine Technical Reports

Servers
- Nothing to report

Network
- We have one
- UCC wireless under "heavy load", but coping well

Desktops
- THEY ARE ALL BROKEN
- [BOB] broke Cabellera
  - [SZM], [SLX], [TPG] reinstalled
  - Solution: Never update it past Debian 6.0.0
    - Ever
    - This is an awesome solution
- Cichlid (Windows/Ubuntu) is broken
  - Overheating?
  - [TJB] and [DTK] have been investigating
- OpenSESAME has been installed on Clownfish
  - It has broken and been fixed 1000000 times

New equipment
- Couches cost $150
  - Thanks to [DTK] (who lent a ute), [BOB] and [TJB] for picking up

Appliances
- UniSFA doesn't want Fukashima, so we got it back

[M12] arrives 18:16

- [BOB] replaced Door Lock
  - [ASH] attempts to test the lock 
  - [BOB] holds the door shut from the inside
  - [ASH] concludes that the door lock is still broken

Drinks and Snacks

- Selling like pancakes
- Discussion of selling hot food, such as pancakes
- We need a coke/solo/foo/lemonade run
- LEDs on Coke machine failed, [BOB] investigating

Mail, Guild and SOC
-------------------
- Mail got checked
- Cleanup on Sunday was sucessful, thanks to all who attended
- Next SOC meeting is on the 21st of March

Action Items

General Business

- [TJB] people want speakers for a desktop
  - THIS CONVERSATION HAS BEEN CENSORED
  - The outgoing committee can't really act on this
  - It should be referred to the next committee, after the AGM
- All members are encouraged to attend the AGM on Tuesday at 1:00pm in the Guild Council Room
  - [TJB] are proxy votes allowed?
    - Proxy votes are not allowed under the constitution; you must attend to vote
- [DTK] for door/coke
  - [BOB] moves that we add [DTK] to door and coke
    - [CJS] seconds
  - [ASH] "have the things been thinged?"
    - Yes
  - Motion passes unanimously
- [TJB] wants to apply for winadmin
  - The procedure is to email both committee@ and wheel@
- [BOB] wants to be reimbursed $46.05 for door lock stuff

- [ASH] are we maintaining the three couch setup?
  - There are definately safety issues
  - We will get rid of the old couch
  - Or... we will suspend it from the ceiling! 
    - Genius idea from [BOB]
  - Other productive comments involve rack mounting the couches.
- [BOB] there is a Debian Bug Squashing Party this weekend
  - Saturday from 2pm onwards
  - 9am to 5pm on Sunday
- [BOB] we need to take some stuff to the skip on Saturday
  - Couch, screens, etc
  - We also need to clean the clubroom (again, sigh)
  - [TPG], [BOB], [SZM] and [TJB] to help out
  - Arrive at UCC by 12:00pm
- [BOB] on Friday we need to take trestle tables to the loft
  - [SZM] and [M12] to organise on Friday
