President's Report

- Thanks to everyone who attended cleanup. Clubroom is tidier. Would have been nice to finish on saturday.

- Picked up fresher guide, helped put up posters

Fresher Rep's Report

- Fresher's are happy
- According to [ASH]'s definition of "happy"
- No new freshers yet
- Did well in exams

MATHS IS AWESOME

- Unprintable comments about how awesome maths is
- Emailed uniprint about Fresher Guides; they printed, [TPG] picked up
- Put windows 7 on work machine. Well done.
- Did not have breakfast.
- [BOB] cautions [ASH] for not eating breakfast
- [TPG] says F*** you all
- [CJS] and/or [BOB] motion that [ASH] eats two weetbix a day
- Someone tries to ammend the motion
- General wasting of time occurs

Machine Technical Reports

Servers
- [DJA] has been doing stuff with snort
- [SZM] broke mufasa (progcomp VM); site has been moved to sigma
- Work on VMs initially progressed well, but has stalled due to confusion with preseeding MD5 hashes of passwords.

Network
- Nothing to report

Desktops
- New humpback has arrived; called cabellera, AMD F1 running debian, [SZM] to send details to tech@
- [ASH] installed Ubuntu on clownfish, [BOB] intends to install OpenSUSE again
- There may be an issue with pinball's graphics card. 
- We should get a storage device for the TrimSlice
  - [ASH] moves to spend up to $100
  - [TPG] seconds
  - Discussion about price occurs, with vague threats of ammending the motion
  - Vote is actually taken
  - Unanimous
  - [TPG] to get a SATA drive for TrimSlice

New equipment
- [BOB] donated two servers for parts

Drinks and Snacks
- Snack run done, thanks to [BOB], [CJS], [SZM]
- We need coke, lemonade, coke zero

Appliances
- Electron gun monitor (and attached microwave) have been donated to UniSFA, UCCans are free to use it.
- [DAA] is getting buttons to work on Coke Machine
- Door sensor was overheating. [DJA] turned off. [BOB] fixed.

Mail, Guild and SOC

- No one checked mail
- SOC meeting last wednesday; [ASH] attended. Treasurer training happens soon. New treasurer must attend.

Action Items

- [TPG] to organise float for O-Day

- [TPG] to install something other than Acess on the TrimSlice
  - Deferred until we get a storage device (discussion moved to Desktops)

- [MRD] to purchase new blind (for up to $300)
  - Unknown, assumed Not Done

General Business

- [ASH] wants to know when the AGM is. So does [SZM].
  - Date is To Be Announced
- [BOB] we need volunteers for O'Day on Friday
  - Please volunteer at http://wiki.ucc.asn.au/ODay2012
  - Need 2 to 3 on stall, 2 to 3 in clubroom, 1 or 2 in a constant state of transit. Total 8 people.
  - Confirmed volunteers are [BOB], [TPG], [SZM] and [ASH] (but he has to help UASS as well)
  - We need to clean up hallway.
  - [BOB] will be here at 6:30am (!!!)
- [SZM] the programming competition has been pushed back more than two months due to complaints about timing
  - Competition is now on the 14th of May
